Laura Molgaard, DVM, interim dean at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), helped introduce a new framework for competency-based veterinary education (CBVE) at the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges’ (AAVMC) annual meeting in March 2018.

The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine’s annual Graduate Programs Recruiting Day took place on February 7. 

Interviews will begin later this month for prospective members of the next College of Veterinary Medicine veterinary class, which will begin classes in September 2020.

Roxanne Larsen, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), was recently awarded the 2019 Zoetis Distinguished Veterinary Teaching Award at the CVM.

One hundred CVM students graduated on May 5.

A proposed regional veterinary program between South Dakota State University and the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine was approved by South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem in late March.
