Prospective veterinary students to visit campus

Interviews for prospective members of the next College of Veterinary Medicine veterinary class, which will begin classes in September 2020, were held January 30 through February 15. The College extended admissions offers soon after the interviews concluded. Dozens of faculty, staff, and alumni are trained each year to conduct the interviews.

Applications totaled 959 with 168 of them coming from residents of Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota. The remaining 791 applicants primarily came from neighboring states or states with large populations. Of the 105 seats in each CVM veterinary cohort, 98 remain available for next fall’s incoming class. Seven seats are currently held by participants in the College’s two early-decision programs: the Veterinary Food Animal Scholars program, and the Leadership through Early Admissions for Diversity program.
