It is our privilege to provide advanced training to veterinary residents who go on to lead our profession. Dr. Keaton Morgan in our cardiology program is a great example.
Dr. Keaton Morgan, a third-year resident in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences cardiology residency program, has been selected to receive the College’s first Resident Award of Excellence. Morgan was nominated by Dr. Chris Stauthammer, director of the cardiology residency program.
“Keaton is an exceptional resident and an amazing person,” Stauthammer said in his nomination. “He is one of the hardest working individuals that I have ever encountered and an all-around nice person. He is an exception leader and team member, consistently treating all team members with respect and dignity.”
Dr. Morgan is the first to receive the annual award, thereby setting the standard for future recipients. The award is presented to the resident who has demonstrated a high degree of excellence during their residency.
