College of Veterinary Medicine Classes of 1970, 1971 meet up for combined 50th reunion

Five decades have passed since the Classes of 1970 and 1971 earned their degrees from the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) and headed out to begin their careers.

The onset of the global pandemic threw a wrench in the Class of 1970’s original 50th reunion plans in 2020, but good fortune and careful planning brought the group together with the Class of 1971 for a combined reunion event held Sept. 24-25.

More than two dozen alumni gathered to reminisce, heard from CVM Dean Laura Molgaard on current initiatives and future plans for the College, took tours of the Lewis Small Animal Hospital and The Raptor Center, and cheered on the Gophers at a Saturday football game.
