Hundreds of thousands of people swarmed the Minnesota State Fair during its 2023 run and likely met members of the College of Veterinary Medicine along the way.

Alumni, faculty, staff, and students made an impact across the fairgrounds. They could be found in the Miracle of Birth Center, which puts crowds up close with young animals and presents fairgoers with the chance to witness a live birth or hatching. Or in the Driven to Discover and Education buildings, surveying pet owners about food portions and tauting ground-breaking research into cancer treatments and chronic wasting disease.

Educational ambassadors from The Raptor Center wowed onlookers at the DNR Volunteer Outdoor Stage and veterinary medical staff gave fairgoers a glimpse into their daily work as they conducted spay and neuter surgeries onstage at the MVMA Surgery Suite.
