  • Matthew Barnhart, ’95 DVM, MS, recently co-edited a textbook, “Locking Plates in Veterinary Orthopedics.” The book was recently published by Wiley-Blackwell, based in New Jersey.

  • Nancy Brandt, ’90 DVM, CVC, CVA, CVMA, wrote "Essential oils for anal gland issues" in the spring 2019 issue of Innovative Veterinary Care Journal. Brandt founded the Veterinary Medical Aromatherapy Association. Read the article.

  • Juan Samper, ’86 MS, ’90 PhD, was recently appointed associate dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in Gainesville, Fla. Samper is a board certified theriogenologist and was formerly associate dean at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.

  • American_Humane_Janet_Helms

    American Humane appointed Janet Helms, '92 DVM, as national director of the American Humane Farm Program. Helms was previously senior dairy technical services veterinarian for Zoetis in the Pacific Northwest.

  • Joseph Bartges, '93 PhD, is now professor of internal medicine and nutrition at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.

  • Kate An Hunter, ’90 DVM, sold Carver Lake Veterinary Center, where two more CVM alumnae—Christine Maddox, ’13 DVM, and Kelly Griffin, ’07 DVM— currently practice.

  • Robert Jordan, ’95 DVM, and his wife, Jenny Chartier, DVM, currently own a small animal clinic on the big island of Hawaii and are looking to open their second clinic soon.
