College of Veterinary Medicine DVM student Madison Baumgartner is a recipient of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) Bovine’s 2022 Veterinary Student Recognition Award.
Baumgartner is one of 18 students to receive the award and a $5,000 scholarship at this year’s 2022 AABP Annual Conference held in Long Beach, Calif., held on Sept 22–24.
Students were selected to receive the award based on academic achievement, career goals, work experience, and an interest in veterinary medicine—demonstrating a commitment to advancing the science of healthier animals.
Baumgartner is a second-year student who is a VetFAST participant, a Hills Pet Nutrition student representative, the 2022 national president of the Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA), director of engagement for the CVM chapter of VBMA, and the paperwork chair for SIRVS.
