The College of Veterinary Medicine awarded 56 scholarships totaling $249,000 at the annual spring scholarship reception in April—which brought the total scholarships awarded during the 2016-17 school year to $627,000.
The University of Minnesota recently signed a memorandum of agreement with the Global Foot- and-Mouth Disease Research Alliance, a partnership initiated by Dr. Andres Perez, endowed chair for global animal health, and Dr. Kim VanderWaal, a researcher in the Department of Veterinary Population Medicine.
Members of the Class of 2018 were presented with their white coats at the college's annual White Coat Ceremony at the St. Paul Student Center April 15.
