College of Veterinary Medicine Classes of 1970, 1971 meet up for combined 50th reunion

The award recognizes outstanding contributions to dairy medicine

Alyssa Betlach, the first recipient of the Bob Morrison Fellowship in 2018, reflects on her work at the College of Veterinary Medicine and the importance of fellowships to support researchers like her. 

Over his more than 40-year career in veterinary academia, Bert Stromberg left an indelible mark on the careers and lives of the students he taught and advised and by increasing our understanding of ruminant parasites. Bert passed away in early August.

Mark Peterson, DVM ’76, DACVIM, has been named the recipient of the 2021 AVMA Lifetime Excellence in Research Award.

College of Veterinary Medicine alumnus Gary Neubauer, ’78, DVM, has received the National Mastitis Council’s (NMC) 2021 Award of Excellence for Contribution to Mastitis Prevention and Control for his work with dairy cattle.
